Back In France
The picture above shows the first half-decent outfit I have been wearing after a week of exams, essays and general deadline fatigue. Every exam period I promise myself to take it easy on myself, yet I always end up as a manically and perpetually in need of more time. Will I ever learn? Anyway, as I am writing this I am back in the south-west of France for the holidays, sitting next to a large Christmas tree with a glass of white wine beside me. I will update later about the presents I have bought for my loved ones (hint: many, many books, loose tea and jumpers – my three favourite things to gift) and perhaps the gifts I will have received. I will not write any further about any gifts yet, as I have yet to see what I will receive, haha.
Being back in France makes me feel like dressing up again in silk shirts combined with nice dark jeans. I will probably start making a little wishlist for the sale soon (I am eyeing the A.P.C. winter collection – the Dolly coat in particular) and will visit the Isabel Marant boutique in town this afternoon. A round-up of a full year of the Five Piece French Wardrobe challenge will follow this week, including a review and an honest overview of my purchases and ups and downs. I will stop rambling now, and genuinely hope you will have some lovely days, wherever you are reading this.
